Cookie Policy
Last updated: 01/09/26
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on kirklevingtonhallselfbuildplots.co.uk, and how to control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in much the same way. Some are necessary for a site to function. Others are optional and are only used if you agree.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept advertising cookies.
- Accept turns on the advertising cookies listed below
- Reject means only strictly necessary cookies are used
Rejecting does not limit the site in any way. You can book an appointment and use every part of the site with advertising cookies switched off.
We remember your choice for twelve months. To change it at any time, use the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Strictly necessary
These are always used. They do not require consent because the site cannot work without them, and none of them are used for advertising or analytics.
| Name | Purpose | Set by | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
kh_cookie_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies | This site | 12 months |
khsales | Keeps a member of the sales team signed in to the staff diary. Only set for staff, never for visitors | This site | End of session |
kh_token | Keeps a member of the sales team signed in when the diary is used inside the website. Stored in local storage rather than as a cookie. Only set for staff | This site | Until sign out |
kh_seen | Notes when a member of the sales team last opened the diary, so new bookings can be highlighted. Stored in session storage. Only set for staff | This site | End of session |
The website platform may also set a small number of cookies needed to serve and secure the pages. These carry no advertising or tracking function.
Advertising
These are only used if you accept. If you reject, or do nothing, they are not set and nothing is sent.
| Name | Purpose | Set by | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Identifies your browser so Meta can measure whether our advertising led to a booking, and so we can show relevant advertising on Facebook and Instagram | Meta Platforms | 90 days |
_fbc | Records that you arrived from a Facebook or Instagram advert | Meta Platforms | 90 days |
When these are active, information about your visit is shared with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, including your IP address, the pages you viewed and whether you completed a booking. We do not send Meta your name, email address or telephone number.
Meta's own privacy policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you do this, and most offer a private browsing mode that clears them when you close the window. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of some websites working, though this site will continue to function normally.
Guidance for each browser is available at aboutcookies.org.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
